LEED Certification; The Benefit For Builders, Designers & The Environment

The major message towards the client is “We care“. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) movement is an internationally recognized green building program.

Although it’s too early to declare LEED certification as a determining factor for success, being LEED certified does create additional visibility and caters to a new movement of guests that are more environmentally mindful. Commercial, residential, hospitality and whole neighborhoods have been successfully established as LEED buildings.

Other benefits include:

• Lower operating costs

• Increased property value

• More healthy, safe environment (off gas, materials, etc)

• Marketing/PR effect

• Safer for occupants / guests
